What this site is about

This website is dedicated first and foremost to the collectors, historians, restorers but also to the general enthusiasts. The site deals with the history of motor vehicles, e. g. automobiles, motorcycles, buses and trucks of all eras (veteran, vintage, classic, more recent models).  Every variants of the oldtimers has also its place, such as ambulances, firefighting vehicles, motorcoaches, taxis, sidecars, pickups, vans, suvs, police vehicles, racing cars, and so on.

The expressions 'automotive history' and 'motorization'  also refer to motor sports (automobile , motorcycle, and truck racing, rallying, sprinting, hillclimbing), to the manufacturing and transport industries (including advertising, work relations, etc.). Other themes have also their place, such as the history of tires, of the roads, the related service industries like filling or service stations.

First and foremost, the expressions 'automotive history' and 'motorization' refer to the motor vehicles of the past: automobiles, buses, motocycles, trucks, and all the variants of the oldtimers (veteran, vintage, classic or more recent models) such as ambulances, police cars, taxis, motor coaches, sidecars, pickups and so on.
But they also refer to motorsports (automobile and motorcycle racing, rallying, sprinting, hillclimbing), to the corresponding industries (the manufacturing the motor vehicles, bus transport, trucking), and to the lives of those involved in them. Other themes like the service industry (filling stations) have also their place.
